If either parent's circumstances change, it can mean that we need to change the amount of child maintenance that should be paid.

Changes to pre-2003 cases
We changed the maintenance calculation in 2003 to make it simpler and clearer. If your maintenance agreement was set up before then, in time, you may have to move to the New rules. Find out more here about when and how this happens.
